Welcome to ISDEN

ISDEN (Instituto de Salud MSC “Cristofris Deneke”) is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1998 in Lima, Perú, to promote the humanization of health care, to raise citizen awareness, and to strengthen health advocacy. We work to reach the most vulnerable sectors of our society, such as tuberculosis patients, to ensure that their human rights and dignity are respected. We are affiliated with the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and work in the field of health in Peru to continue the work these missionaries started in 1938. Today, we face new challenges and seek to solve modern social issues by exploring their causes, by developing activities that develop the ethical and moral values of those involved in the health world, and by supporting the least advantaged with their health care. We are always working to fulfill our slogan, "Serving Life."

 

 

ORACIÓN COMUNITARIA 2010

“La Tuberculosis tan peruana como el cebiche, tan antigua como la chicha y tan mal sana como la corrupción y la indiferencia”. Nos hace reflexionar Radio Chami con motivo de la campaña de  la DECLARATORIA DE EMERGENCIA SANITARIA NACIONAL DE TB.

Cada vez más ciudadanas(os) están tomando conciencia que la tuberculosis es un grave problema de salud pública en el país, y esto no solo por que después de Haití tenemos la mas alta prevalencia en el continente, sino porque el problema crece con el avance de la TB y afecta a las familias en su desarrollo, hasta en su subsistencia.


Por este motivo les invitamos a promover y unirse a la oración comunitaria, que desde hace 5 años promovemos, así mismo renovar y fortalecer su compromiso con la defensa  de la vida, salud y dignidad de los más que 33,600 personas diagnosticadas con TB en el año 2009!.

Memoria ISDEN 1997 – 2007 is a document that reviews the history of ISDEN and the many steps that were taken over the last decade in the fields of humanization of health, community development, and pastoral care.
Nursing. Ethical Training for Life) A reference document for education in humanization and ethics that includes teaching strategies. This publication contains a description of problems with the current curriculum, theoretical arguments, and a proposal for pedagogic design that treats ethical knowledge as a key component to one´s education. It details three periods of intensive study for additional coursework after receiving one´s degree.

Together we must make life flourish: the organizational experience of ASET Comas is the story of one of the oldest organizations of people affected by tuberculosis in our country and maybe the world. It was published with the technical and financial support of POLICY, a project of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
